Hello everyone! Long time no blog! Sorry for the pause in posts. Life has been jam packed these last two months. Between work, vacations, and life in general, J and I have had a full plate. The largest reason I have been absent on the blog is J and I had to pack up our life in Pennsylvania for a new adventure in New Jersey! J accepted a job at Rutgers University, so we made the move to NJ. In less than a month we totally relocated and are now surrounded by boxes and bubble wrap as we make our new home feel like home.
So, to make up for lost time, let’s rewind and I’ll show you what my June looked like. Enjoy the photos!
We took a trip to Virginia Beach, VA to visit some friends and play in a beach Ultimate Frisbee tournament. This photo is in the tunnel on the way to VA.
Beach ultimate frisbee tournaments come with the best view.
I can’t get enough of this face! This is Luke, the cutest most handsome dog in VA.
When in Virginia Beach, eat seafood. I was in heaven.
We celebrated J’s birthday. He requested ice cream cake. I made one in a spring form pan with an Oreo crust. I need to have more ice cream cakes in my life.
This was J’s requested dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, salad, and of course, wine.
For Father’s Day, we drove to Philly and met J’s parents for a Phillies game. It was a beautiful day, and they gave out hats to all the dads.
Before the game, we had to make a stop at Tony Luke’s. I had heard all about their amazing sandwiches. We got their famous roast pork with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. We also got a regular cheesesteak. The smoked pork was my favorite.
I had heard the crab fries from Chickie’s & Pete’s were not to be missed at the ballpark. They are crinkle fries with what tastes like Old Bay seasoning on them. I can check this one off the list.
I also flew to Boston to visit some college friends out on Cape Cod. Goodbye Penn State & Beaver Stadium, see you later!
Hello Boston. Good to see an old friend.
The cape. Enough said.
View from my friends Cape house. I love it here.
Lobstah roll from the Clam Shack. They don’t mess around. Just MASSIVE amounts of lobster and a tiny bit of mayo. Heaven on a bun.
Our view from the Clam Shack. The perfect place to eat our lobster rolls.
Evening fishing on the Cape.
I’ll be back with my July photos soon!
