I’m doing double duty with this post today since I have been a little belated with my Month Through My Lens posts and showing you two months!
Above is a photo from lunch out on Long Island. We sat right on the dock on a beautiful sunny day.
At this lunch I had the largest lobster roll ever. I would say this is more of a lobster sandwich since it was on ciabatta, but still delicious and full of tons of lobster.
This was the view leaving my last farmers market in State College.

Month Through My Lens: July 2014
Before I am two months behind, here is a look at what I was up to in July. It involved a lot of beach time.
My family takes a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico every summer. It was full of tacos, huge waves, jet skis, and margaritas. Here are some photos from the trip.

Month Through My Lens: June 2014
Hello everyone! Long time no blog! Sorry for the pause in posts. Life has been jam packed these last two months. Between work, vacations, and life in general, J and I have had a full plate. The largest reason I have been absent on the blog is J and I had to pack up our life in Pennsylvania for a new adventure in New Jersey! J accepted a job at Rutgers University, so we made the move to NJ. In less than a month we totally relocated and are now surrounded by boxes and bubble wrap as we make our new home feel like home.
So, to make up for lost time, let’s rewind and I’ll show you what my June looked like. Enjoy the photos!
We took a trip to Virginia Beach, VA to visit some friends and play in a beach Ultimate Frisbee tournament. This photo is in the tunnel on the way to VA.

Month Through My Lens: May 2014
I thought the margarita photo was a good opener for my May installment of Month Through My Lens. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with some margaritas and crunchy black bean quesadillas. See photo below for the food portion of the meal.
This recipe was posted on thekitchn.com, a blog I love. It is from the cookbook Love Your Leftovers by Nick Evans. It is vegetarian, totally filling, delicious, and a perfect match for our Cinco de Mayo margs.

Fun fact: did you know I work part time for a bakery? I sell their bread and other baked goods at farmers markets around town. Their bread is amazing. Smelling like bread after work is not a bad thing.
The result of working at the market is that sometimes I impulse shop at the market for dinner! The result one night was spinach pasta with Alaskan smoked salmon, cream sauce, parsley, and lemon.
My little plant friends I bought at the market. They are now happily living in larger pots on our balcony.

A glimpse into my April adventures.
During a visit from my parents, we walked around the town of Bellefonte. Here are some photos from our excursion.

Month Through My Lens: March 2014
Every month, I will do a round up of photographs that may have not made it into previous blog posts. Even though this is primarily a food blog, you will get a glimpse through my camera lens of my every day happenings. Enjoy!
I made my first loaf of bread with my sourdough starter. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out.
J and I traveled to Orlando, FL to join his brother, sister in law, and two nieces for some sun and spring training baseball games.
We went to three spring training games, all at different stadiums. The Atlanta Braves’ stadium was the only one in Disney World.
